COMMUNITY CONTENT The Overlook Livability Team is a group of residents that meet once a month to clean up their neighborhood. Their main targets are graffiti and garbage, documenting and reporting the graffiti to the city then either removing or painting over it. Feb 7th the group will be meeting up at Di Prima Dolci at 9am and hitting the streets. If you see them, please tell them thank you for their hard work.
Below is their flier and more information about the group.
Interested in helping keep our neighborhood clean?
Sick of Graffiti? Want to help remove it?
Volunteer once a month, get to know your neighbors and have fun while doing something good for the neighborhood.
What is a Livability Team?
We are a group of local residents and business owners, volunteers who adopt a section of roadway or an area in their neighborhood and routinely provide graffiti documentation, reporting, and removal, general trash pickup, and report suspicious or criminal activity to law enforcement. It’s a mix of an “Adopt a Highway” and “Neighborhood Watch” program focusing on a very specific area that is important to residents.
How do I get started?
Call City of Portland Crime Prevention Coordinator Mark Wells at 503-823-4098 or email at: mark.wells@ci.portland.or.us, and he can review the program in more detail and walk you through becoming part of the Team.
Don’t have time to volunteer, but want to help the Team?
Volunteers provide the work to keep the neighborhood clean, but we always need supplies. You can donate cleaning supplies or money to buy supplies.
Need graffiti removed?
Let us know and we’ll properly document it and clean it if we can.
